Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated and strong Cybersecurity engineer to support operations and deployments on a DOD program that:
- Six (6) years of relevant experience with a B.S/B.A. in Engineering, Information Security, or related field or eight (8) years equivalent experience
- Enables Executive Order on Maintaining American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence
- Allows functional communities to use the state-of-the-art, cloud-based tools they need to solve the Air Force’s toughest data-related challenges
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safeguarding information systems assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
- Continuous monitoring live cyber environments for potential attacks, vulnerabilities, and log analysis
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing security into infrastructure, platforms, and software
- Development of cybersecurity architecture with ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements
- Responsible to maintain and improve a platform Authority to Operate in cloud environments, and have hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessment
- Document Assessments and Processes
- Communicate the outcomes of assessments to leadership
- Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Interaction with multiple customers at all levels
- Demonstrated cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience hardening Kubernetes and containers
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, NextGen Security projects, network vulnerability scanning platforms
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CSSP)
- Five years experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- XACTA and EMASS experience
- Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls
Education Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree, with concentrations/focus in security, or equivalent and five years minimum experience OR a minimum of seven years of enterprise security assessment experience
Salary Range:
- $100,000 – $150,000
