Job Description and Required Skills
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager to lead our DoD AI/ML platform development. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AI/ML platform designed for the Department of Defense. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevSecOps engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of our AI/ML platform that meets the needs of the DoD and the mission of the Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO).
Responsibilities
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AI/ML platform development, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives and the DoD's mission.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape, and incorporate these insights into the product strategy and roadmap.
- Develop and maintain detailed product requirements, key initiatives, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with customer needs and DoD requirements.
- Collaborate with platform teams, including DevSecOps engineers, data scientists, and Architects, to design and develop the AI/ML platform, ensuring quality, scalability, and performance.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features and enhancements are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and priorities to stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and development teams.
- Monitor and analyze product usage, customer feedback, and trends to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success, and report on progress to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, seeking feedback from customers and stakeholders to enhance the AI/ML platform and drive customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, successfully delivering software products, with specific experience in AI/ML platforms, preferably for the DoD.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML technologies, including machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and data processing tools.
- Familiarity with DoD regulations, security requirements, and compliance frameworks, such as DIACAP, RMF, and STIGs.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to adapt product management approaches based on project needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards product success.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM) are a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Education Requirements
- Nine (9) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Advanced degree is a plus or 11+ equivalent experience
Salary Range
- $156,000 - $312,000 (hourly range: $75 - $150)
